!NATAS lyrics
Official lyrics for “!NATAS” by Festival Guy.
TITLE: NAY-TASS
[INTRO — clean guitar, distant wind, slow toms] In the attic of my youth I carved your name in pine, Backwards prayers and candle smoke, a crooked little sign. We laughed at lightning, dared the dark to answer our command— Now the floorboards start to breathe… and something takes my hand.
[VERSE 1 — riff enters, slow and heavy] Midnight chokes the windowpane, the moon is split in two, Salt and ash in a circle—what the foolish used to do. I speak the word I thought was just a teenage, cheap disguise, But the room goes cold and hollow… when I whisper “NAY-TASS” twice.
[PRE-CHORUS — drums rise, tension] Hear the nailheads in the rafters, Hear the house begin to groan, Every mirror turns to black glass, Every shadow grows its bone.
[CHORUS — big, simple, crushing] NAY-TASS… rise up from the rusted gate, NAY-TASS… take the crown, devour the light, NAY-TASS… I was joking—now it’s much too late, NAY-TASS… LORD OF NIGHT.
[VERSE 2 — groove locks, bass fat] Old record on the turntable, needle stuck on a scream, A choir made of insects in the plaster, in the beams. My high school notebook opens, pages bleeding through, All the riffs I wrote for hellfire… are calling it to you.
[PRE-CHORUS 2 — darker, slower] Hear the footsteps under floorboards, Not of man and not of mouse, Every candle bows and gutters, Something ancient’s in the house.
[CHORUS — repeat] NAY-TASS… rise up from the rusted gate, NAY-TASS… take the crown, devour the light, NAY-TASS… I was joking—now it’s much too late, NAY-TASS… LORD OF NIGHT.
[BRIDGE — spoken/half-sung over droning riff] I drew you in the margins like a prank I’d soon outgrow, A cartoon horned catastrophe in teenage afterglow. But names are nails in timber, and words are iron keys— And I hammered you in silence… now you rattle in the trees.
[GUITAR SOLO — 60–75 seconds, slow bends, wah optional] (Lead guitar wails like sirens; rhythm riff churns like an engine of doom)
[POST-SOLO — breakdown, chant-like] Circle cracking… Chalk is shaking… Air is thick like oil and smoke…
[BUILD — drums double, riff climbs] My hands are not my hands now, My tongue is not my own, Every breath is a bell tolling, Every heartbeat is a throne.
[FINAL CHORUS — biggest] NAY-TASS… rise up from the rusted gate, NAY-TASS… take the crown, devour the light, NAY-TASS… I was joking—now it’s much too late, NAY-TASS… LORD OF NIGHT.
[OUTRO — slow collapse, feedback, last line whispered] I wrote you backwards in my youth… You write me forward… tonight.
